10/20mm Recycled Shingle / Pipe Bedding is a recycled aggregate produced during the soil screening process. The material consists mainly of small gravel and stone between approximately 10mm and 20mm, with some naturally occurring clay balls and fines present due to the recycling and screening process. Colour and consistency may vary between batches.
This recycled material is suitable for a range of uses including pipe bedding, drainage applications, backfilling, temporary access areas, soakaways, and general fill where a cost-effective recycled aggregate is required. Due to the mixed and recycled nature of the product, it may also contain small amounts of screened soil residue and clay content.
As this product is not a decorative washed gravel, it is not recommended where a clean ornamental finish is required. The presence of clay balls and fines means the material may compact differently compared to virgin aggregates.
